01 / The brief
A UK-registered labour-mobility organisation runs its website, candidate readiness portal, staff back office and Kenya to Germany programme portal on one platform family we built and run.
Challenge
INSPIRE AFRICA prepares African candidates for work abroad and connects them with employers. Candidates, employers, staff and programme teams each needed their own front door, but the records behind them had to be one set of truth, with strict access control over personal data.
Approach
Our founder serves as INSPIRE AFRICA's CTO, and COTE acts as its technology partner. We moved the domain from Wix to a VPS we manage, then built one central back office that every portal signs in against. Each surface does one job for one audience, and personal data stays behind role-based access, two-factor sign-in and an audit log.

What we built
- 01inspireafricans.com moved from Wix to a COTE-managed VPS with nginx, SSL and DKIM email authentication
- 02Candidate readiness portal in Next.js: profile, CV and documents, find work, applications, messages, plans and a marketplace of preparation services
- 03AI CV parsing that fills structured profile fields for the candidate to check
- 04Central Database in Laravel and Filament: one login, two modules (Central Database and Community Vault)
- 05Role-based access for 29 staff job titles, two-factor sign-in and audit logging
- 06Employer (Roster) and candidate (Readiness) portals authenticate against the central back office
- 07Kenya to Germany programme portal for skilled artisans, in English and Swahili
- 08Eligibility checker, interest registration, a five-step process guide and worker-rights information
- 09A form to report anyone asking candidates for fees
- 10An admin dashboard for the programme team
