01About

Built in Kampala, for the conditions our users actually have.

Operating since 2021. Registered 28 December 2023. Six people accountable for the work.

02Our story

Started in 2021. Registered in 2023.

Phones before laptops, data bundles before fibre, WhatsApp before email. That is who we build for.

03The people

Six people accountable for the work.

Every build has a named delivery lead, and every engineer on it is named in your statement of work.

04How we work

Excellence, equity, innovation, impact.

Four values, and a test for each one that we hold ourselves to on every project.

05Let's talk

Work with us beyond a project.

Funders, universities and technology partners: three ways to build with COTE.

01Our story

From pandemic start-up to systems in production.

COTE started in 2021, during the pandemic, building websites and systems for organisations around Kampala. We were registered as C.O.T.E TECH (U) LIMITED on 28 December 2023.

We build for the conditions our users actually have: phones before laptops, data bundles before fibre, WhatsApp before email. That discipline is why our systems stay light, and why our AI work starts from low-data delivery.

Today we design, build and run AI assistants and the systems your operation runs on, for NGOs and growing businesses, and we train the people who will build the next ones through COTE Academy and CLICK.
